Colebrook to Pittsburg, NH ATV Cruise

Holy shitbats! Another trailwarriors.net Coos County jaunt...and what a beautiful day it was for an ATV ride!

September up in Coos County, NH surely equals some cooler air for trail riding, and that's exactly what we got. What a great weekend to cruise. There was quite a bit of traffic on the Ride The Wilds NH network, and it was awesome to see so many folks out qaud'n-around and enjoying Coos County in all its splendid beauty. TIT!

UPDATE 10.27.2022: Still working without the power computer....doin' what we can in the meantime, and STILL havin' fun!! 🥲

2023 Polaris Sportsman models!

Check 'em out, man. 2023 Polaris Sportsman recreational / utility ATV goodies. Yayyyyyy!

A little late on this one, but looks like some new colors available on the 450HO, 570 & 850 models, as well as some new CV-guards for the 570 EPS & Premium models.

The Sportsman 450HO & 570 models also include a redesigned rear rack extender, which will allow the rider to pack more and be able to anchor it down more securely.

The Orange Rust color is always something I look at it, and I believe this particular finish is a non-metallic Orange Rust. Either way, always a cool color on a quad!

So what'cha think? Have you seen any new 2023 models around yet?

Rockingham Recreation Trail ATV cruise pt 2

Rockingham Recreation Trail ATV Cruise 08.28.2022 What a BEAUTIFUL Summer Sunday morning for an ATV cruise!

Wow, guys, cruisin' down thee ol' Worcester, Nashua & Rochester Railroad is super fun, nostalgic and very relaxing, especially on such a perfect morning. Excellent for the Soul!!

This abandoned rail line would ultimately become part of the Boston & Maine Railroad, aka "The Mighty, Mighty B&M". Railed service on this particular line ceased in 1932, when the Boston & Maine closed to large sections, one from Hudson to Fremont, NH, and the other from Epping to Gonic, NH.

Starting at approximately 10am, we rode for about 2.5 hours from Fremont to Derry and back. There are a few places to stop and relax along the way, and there is great scenery to be had, including wetlands. It brings a sense of calm and balance after a long week. An underrated ride.

If you haven't been out, or are hesitant about riding this particular rail trail, I would recommend checking it out and enjoying it while you can. We never know when what little trails we still have will be snatched away from us!

 GET OUT THERE!!! :D

New 2023 Yamaha Grizzly 700 models

New Yamaha Grizzly 700 EPS SE in Titan / Midnight Blue

Hell yeah, boys 'n gals! Pictures of the new 2023 Yamaha Grizzly 700 models have been released. So, what'cha think? Diggin' the new colors and graphics?

The new dark blue color scheme looks great in the photos. It seems darker than the "Backcountry Blue" that we're used to, and really pops with the new machined-look parts of the wheels. I likey! But can't wait to see it in person.

As you may have already guessed,...not many changes again this year to the Grizzly 700. At this point, we can only assume that Yamaha is deep in the bunker working on their twin-cylinder version ATV, whether it's called "Grizzly" or it's a completely new frame and released under a new name, and they prefer not to release it too early in order to avoid the early model-year bugs and quirks that new models can bring. Is this the case? Of course, we don't know for sure, and can only speculate. But, it is a good thought, and one that I am personally confident in.

You know the sayin' well,......"if it ain't broke, don't fix it." Yamaha seems to be adhering to this oldie-but-goodie quite well! But, can we blame them?

The Yamaha Grizzly is a legendary ATV in the quad world, especially when it pertains to the reliability arena. The Grizz has earned its great reputation, and for that, I can believe that Yamaha is choosing to not only protect the new twin-cylinder ATV they may or may not release, lol, but also looking to protect the legendary Grizzly and all its well-deserved accolades and praise.

Lawwwd knows we LOVE the Yamaha Grizzly!

I will be sure to check out our local Yamaha dealer, Seacoast Powersports, to see it, if it's ever there long-enough to actually witness. They just moved-in to a beautiful new building, a much larger one, and quads haven't been stickin' around very long these days in our area, even with the inflated prices of seemingly everything.

For now, let's enjoy what we got, and go for a riiide!!! #TrailwarriorsLife

UPDATE! Where the wheels at?

MSA M26-04710 dark tint ATV wheel I think I might like the 12" System 3 ST-6 wheel and would consider replacing the stock Yamaha wheels on my Grizzly....which, has never happened yet because I just can't find the right lookin' wheel, or at least an aftermarket wheel that looks better than the stock wheel in my eyes and will actually fit my quad. Then, if I do find a design I can look at...it's not available in the size I need.

WHAT?! I can't find a nice lookin' wheel, that isn't black, in 14x7 4/110 fitment? How about the right offset? Do I have to go down to a 12" wheel and tire? Is this for real, folks?

So what about the 12" wheels? Ok,well, the System 3 ST-6 wheel caught my eye, and I have been thinking about moving down to a smaller diameter wheel with a taller sidewall tire for more rubber in the hopes of a more comfortable ride. That would of course also include moving away from the "square" wheel and tire set-up that comes stock on the '19 Yamaha Grizzly 700. I am considering it, with the proper wheel, and Kenda Bear Claw HTR tires. I am very curious to see how the Grizzly responds to such a change, and how the handling and steering improve.

Either way, finding the right combination of wheel and tire for your ATV, SxS or other OHRV can be exhausting. It can be tedious. It can be.....yeah, not fun, trying to dot all those i's and cross all those t's.

I'm so blown away by this, that I contacted System 3 to inquire as to why you wouldn't offer so many of your (worthy-looking) wheels in a size proper for the best-selling bikes and quads, the most reliable, the most legendary ATVs? WTF?? It BOGGLES my mind how they can make multiple designs that are actually appealing, but don't fit a Yamaha Grizzly.

All I do is shake my head sometimes. #SMH

What if you're really particular about your design? You see something in your head and it's gotta be that. Well, in my case, for now, it seems I am just going to stay a regular plain-jane Trailwarrior, and rock the stock Yamaha wheels because they look great and aren't worth replacing with an aftermarket wheel that everybody and their mom is rockin'.

So,... the wheel search goes on, friends. Let's hope these companies get a grip!

EDIT! Really likin' these 14x7 MSA M26 Vibe wheel in dark tint!! *** Added 2022 Wheel Pros catalog in PDF format. It is attached below under the Tags. ***

UPDATE 8.2.22!! :D Git'n dishy wit' it! Finally hit the button and went with the 14x7" MSA Vibe wheels and Kenda Bear Claw HTR tires (F: 26x9/14 - R: 26x11/14) and I am so happy, they look absolutely gorgeous, and everything arrived on-time with no damage. Unfortunately, we weren't able to get the wheels & tires together, mounted, like from KJ Motorsports online, because the wheels were out-of-stock at most places I checked. Regardless, they are super TITTIE (o)(o) and they have been mounted (Tire Warehouse, #BIGups!) and everything looks TIP-TOP MAGOO, gents. Pics below!

Let's gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!! #TrailwarriorsLife

NH Ride The Wilds ATV cruise

NH Ride the Wilds ATV trail system map We made it! Rose up at 3am to get a head-start on things and made good time to Berlin, NH. Parked at Jericho Outdoors as the Sun was rising. On the bikes approx. 6am and started the longest ATV cruise we have ever done!

This trip was full of all types of ATV trails, except heavy mudding, which is a good thing considering the heat and humidity, and the variety of trails and things to see along the way makes your head spin! The small towns and villages, the campers, trailers, camps and houses set back off a random, lonely dirt road...you can "feel" the energy of it. It made me want live it for a year or something, be an ol' homestead'r there in Stark, or West Milan, or maybe up in Dixville Notch or something. Wow!

I also noticed some of the older folks living along the ATV-shared roads, the dirt roads anyway, won't even bat-an-eye at the sound or site of an ATV cruisin' by. Nope, lol, one older gentleman working outside his garage door didn't even look up from what he was doing when we drove by. At that time I really tried to imagine what he was doing, how long he had lived there, and how life would be if it were me there, sitting outside and working on something or enjoying a hobby.

 Let's go for a ride!!

Summer Sunday bridge repair!

Trailwarriors.Life Summer Sunday    A perfect Summer Sunday for a little trail clean-up and bridge repair. Chicken 'n ribs, too! Trailwarriors.Life Summer Sunday smoked ribs!

The ATV trail out back hadn't seen us since the winter and it needed some attention. The two bridges were in      disrepair, and the trail was grown-in somewhat. It was time to bushwhack. A little while later we were back          on it and clearing brush, matting down the foliage, and reaching an ol' favorite spot on a pond just a stones          throw from the hut.

Teddy Pup came along for a cruise, too!Trailwarriors.Life Summer Sunday cookout chicken & ribs

And those "Shotgun Shells" were A+++! #BACON

Trailwarriors.Life Rockingham County Recreational Rail Trail cruise 12.06.2022 Hit up the Rockingham Recreational Rail Trail today with @the.real.sportsman!

What a beautiful evening for an ATV cruise. Thee ol' railbed looks to be in great shape from what we could tell. An excellent ride with fairly smooth trail ridin' all the way through!

BIGups to NH ATV Club for everything they do for these New Hampshire trails. It's simply amazing to still have access and be able to ride a quad in our home county, Rockingham. There is so much over-development around us it's scary!

Several times during the cruise from Fremont, NH to Derry, NH and back to Fremont, I wondered to myself...."who wouldn't want to take a train ride through this beautiful rural countryside, farm lands and wet lands?" Even today, it's such a valuable right-of-way, but somehow its value is over-looked for the hustle and bustle of today's modern technology and Rat Race. Ugh!

What a great night to be out. If you haven't been, we suggest you do...
