Finally got the slide for my Dagger Micro frame this month! Sniper Green. Fkn-A!
Anyone else have a Dagger Micro? If so, for how long, and how has it worked-out for you?
Took me a few months to finish this project, but sure glad I did. This Dagger Micro feels great! I dig it.
I EDC a Smith & Wesson M&P Shield Plus 9mm, and wouldn't trade it for the world. But having a back-up or stand-by was my idea here. I like Palmetto State Armory and their message, and I wanted to try a Dagger Micro as soon as I saw it.
My Dagger Compact with American flag slide turned-out to be a good thing, so I have some experience with the Dagger line. The Dagger Micro is no disappointment either.
A pleasant surprise is its trigger. The Dagger Micro trigger is better than the Dagger Compact trigger. At least, to me, it feels less "mushy" on the pull/uptake, a bit shorter, and has a sharper/shorter break and reset. It is an improvement to me. Something I forgot to expect!
I would recommend trying one out if you haven't already, especially now since they have been out for a little while, and already been tested out in the field by many others online.
UPDATE 09.07.2024: Finally got a Holosun 407K-GR X2 for this project. Anticipating some bullshit with the mounting screws, I had to order some new ones, as I lost the set that came with the Micro Dagger slide. Disappeared in to thin-air, you know how it is!
Anyway, the screws I got were the right size and length, but the head is too big for the optic. Typical smh. It never ends. So until I can shorten the right screw, I am using the screws that came with the Holosun. Anybody with a Palmetto State Armory Micro Dagger and red dot (or green dot) mounted already knows...the screw on the right side of the optic is too long, and can push down on the extractor plunger depressor rod.
Probably end-up just grinding it down. I am done searching around the internet for the screw ready-made. Pain in the ass!
But I love the optic anyway, it looks right on the Micro Dagger. I'm good with it, even though the green dot looks like a shit splatter because of my "special" Astigmatism.
UPDATE 09.16.2024: Many thanks to Palmetto State Armory for sending out a set of both screws for the Holosun 407k. The shorter 8.5mm for the right hand side screw is the one I needed. Perfect.
