Here's a cool project I completed in the Summer of 2023. Ever see a PSA Dagger with the American flag slide?...
The Palmetto State Armory Dagger model is a Glock 19 clone. A good one, at a fair price. This is the "Compact" frame version. Not to be confused with the newer "Micro" Dagger.
I saw the American flag slide available on their web site and had to have it. There are a few versions, including one with ports, but that was out-of-stock when making the purchase. But I was able to score this optic-ready non-ported version with a threaded barrel. Right around $275 for the complete slide.
Last I checked recently, these particular Dagger slides aren't in-stock again yet. But I check back every month lookin'! Hope to score the ported version at some point, and also pick-up a Dagger full-size "S" frame in blue.

Frame and slide were purchased from PSA separately. Action was smooth when mated together new. Not Smith & Wesson smooth, but decent. Clean & lubed before beginning dry-fire/break-in process. I like to run-action on the slide in batches of 10 several times with each hand. Not just in hopes of smoothing down the action, but also getting a feel for the slide of each pistol, and exercising each hand, to build up muscle memory. Never know...might have a bum hand.

The PSA Dagger is a good shooter, and a lower-cost alternative for Glock-like ergonomics and features, without paying the name-brand premium. Plus, you pay less out the door for a proven design, but still get the added benefit of an endless supply of aftermarket parts & accessories.
Of course, it's a sloshy "Glock-like" trigger that's to be expected from this style of polymer striker-fired pistol, so you won't be wooed by it on that front. But with that expectation, there's less disappointment.
I would recommend the PSA Dagger Compact 9mm for anyone looking for a back-up to your main 9mm pistol(s). For example, this would be preferable for my ATV, as opposed to taking an actual Glock 19, which will cost me a lot more if it gets lost, stolen or damaged out on the trails.
This compact model, like a Glock 19, is of course concealable. But it's not preferable now with so many other smaller "Micro 9" options on the market, like it's new younger brother, the PSA Micro Dagger 9mm, a Glock 43x MOS clone.
