'19 Yamaha Grizzly 700 EHS Racing air intake modification
EHS Racing air intake mod complete. YES!! I was finally able to pick up the necessary parts to start making my Yamaha Grizzly 700 run as it should, keep dirt and fine dust out of the engine, and remedy the "running lean" condition these ATVs are known to exhibit from the factory.
The EHS Racing "air intake modification" consists of a new positive-clamp aluminum intake piece by EHS, that allows a much tighter seal between air intake and air filter. This really cuts down on the potential for dust to get in to the motor, especially that fine dust that us trail riders sometimes have to run through. I feel much more confident about my air intake & filter system now and believe it is a TRUE improvement over stock.
This modification is highly recommended for Yamaha Grizzly and Yamaha Kodiak owners (as well as other major brands) who wish to improve on Yamaha's air intake design, and help to better prevent dirt and dust from entering the motor. This works, period.
Don't believe us? Just search Youtube for EHS Racing and some Yamaha related videos on there...Eric knows what he is talking about, has a dyno, shows the math, and you are left with a better-than-stock running ATV, and a huge smile on your face as you experience the measurable before-and-after difference of these particular modifications and upgrades to your machine.
I went with a K&N Filter this time around as I will not be submerging my bike or pushing the limits of its water-resistance. If the circumstances require it, I will move back over to the UNI-type ATV air filter as I had with the stock set-up.
